So you’ve got your shots, picked your favorites, and now you need actual prints in your hand. An 8x10 for an audition, a stack for an agent meeting, or a framed portrait for the office wall. The good news: once you’ve shot with us, the files are yours. We hand you high-resolution, print-ready files, and you can take them to any lab you like.
A quick word before you print. A printed headshot only looks as good as the file behind it. Printing online & by mail
If you’re not racing a deadline, ordering online is usually cheaper and the quality is excellent. What to ask the lab for
Walk in (or fill out the order form) knowing these four things and you’ll get it right the first time:
- Size: 8x10 is the standard for actor headshots. Corporate and personal-brand prints can be whatever you like.
- Paper: a heavier 80–100 lb stock if you want a resume printed or stapled on the back. Lighter stock is fine for handouts.
- Finish: pearl or lustre hides fingerprints and glare better than glossy, and casting directors handle a lot of paper.
- Name & border: most actors print their name along the bottom front. Borderless looks cleaner; a thin white border is more forgiving if you trim by hand.
Do you even need prints?
Honestly, sometimes not. If your headshot is for LinkedIn, a company bio, a website, or a speaker page, you only need the digital file. Nobody’s asking for a physical photo. Printed 8x10s still earn their keep for in-person auditions, agent and manager meetings, comp cards, and as a leave-behind that someone can pin to a board. So print what you’ll actually hand to a person, and let the rest live as files. Either way, the file we give you is ready for both.
