How to Prepare for Your Headshot Session
Updated June 2026
Appearance is key. Think of this as an opportunity to upgrade your look.
Come Well Rested
We want you to look fresh and full of energy. Don’t stay up late the night before — get some rest so you shine and look your best. If you happen to get sick and the deadline isn’t pressing, it’s better to reschedule.
Hydrate Your Skin
Make sure your face is washed and hydrated with an organic cream. A fresh haircut or a blowout would do wonders. If your skin is sensitive or you’re prone to allergies, don’t try anything new right before the shoot — stick to the products you know. Professional hair and makeup isn’t included by default, but we work with professional groomers who can be booked for an additional fee; contact us to arrange one.
General Wardrobe Tips
Solid colors photograph best and keep the focus on you. Make sure everything is clean and ironed, and dress for the image you want to project. Bring a few options you feel great in — we’ll help you choose the strongest one. The specifics vary by session, so pick your shoot below.
